UV Printing on Perfume Bottles in Dubai: Complete Guide for Fragrance Brands
Dubai's fragrance industry is booming. UV printing directly on glass perfume bottles creates premium, solvent-free branding without labels. Here's how it works and what to spec.
Why UV Print Directly on Glass Bottles?
Traditional paper or pressure-sensitive labels peel in humid environments, get damaged during handling, and look low-cost on premium fragrances. UV printing directly onto glass creates a permanent, label-free print that feels like part of the bottle itself — matching luxury European and Gulf fragrance standards.
The UV Printing Process for Round Bottles
Cylindrical UV printing uses a rotating axis attachment on the flatbed printer. The bottle rotates while the UV print head moves — creating seamless 360° wrap-around prints. Maximum diameter: 150mm. Height: up to 250mm. Minimum run: 1 bottle.
Inks & Adhesion
Glass requires a UV primer (adhesion promoter) for maximum bond strength. Without primer, UV ink can chip under handling. With proper priming, prints withstand handling, alcohol exposure, and shipping — tested to 100+ rub cycles.
White Ink for Opacity on Coloured Glass
Amber, blue, or black glass needs a white underbase before colour printing. We print white first, cure, then print the colour layer — giving full opacity and colour accuracy even on dark glass.
Finishing Options
- Gloss UV — vibrant, premium feel
- Matte UV — soft-touch, understated luxury
- Raised texture (tactile) — 3D varnish layers for logo relief
- Gold/silver spot — metallic UV inks for luxury accents
